Kuala Lumpur or KL is the capital of Malaysia is a city of delightful contrasts and one of the most vibrant cities in Asia.

KL has grown from a small sleepy village to a bustling metropolis (population 5 million) in just 50 years. With the world’s cheapest five-star hotels, great shopping and even better food, increasing numbers of travellers are discovering this little gem of a city.

Petronas Twin Tower

Visitors will be greeted by the stunning Petronas Twin Towers, a world-renowned icon of the country. The 452 metre or 88 floor Petronas Twin Tower along Jalan Ampang were once the world’s tallest structure when completed in 1998. The towers are. however ,still the tallest twinbuildings in the world.

Within the Towers are, among others, the Petronas Philharmonic Hall, Petronas Art Gallery and Petrosains and KLCC Aquaria, which is an aquarium for various sea, creatures. Just below the Twin Towers is Suria KLCC, one of the biggest shopping in Malaysia .

Another distinct landmark is the 421 metre Kuala Lumpur Tower ( Menara Kuala Lumpur ). located at Jalan Puncak. It is currently the fifth tallest tower in the world.equipped with four elevators. Artisans from Iran decorated the domes in it’s main lobby. This gleaming tower’s spindle-like apex is visible from almost anywhere in Kuala Lumpur. Menara KL’s viewing deck is, at 276 metres, at least 100 metres higher than the Petronas Twin Towers’ Skybridge; the view is marvellous during the day and even better at night when you can see the entire sparkling city centre.

Kuala Lumpur Tower

It has a revolving restaurant, providing diners a 360-degree view of KL. Because this is a revolving restaurant each time you look out a different building will appear at your window. To get a table by the window you need to make an advance booking. There is a dress code here. It is smart casual meaning which you must not come with a short and be sure to also have an appropriate footwear on.

kuala lumpur tower retaurants

The restaurant serves buffet for either lunch or dinner with a selection of Western, Chinese, Malay and Indian food. You can take your time to sample all the different cuisine served at various buffet stations. I cannot single out my favourite dish because you can sample all that are served. My advice is to get a small portion of each so that you will be able to try all including the wide variety of desserts.
